ABOUT COMPANY:

Nationwide Cars founder Ian Whitecross started his career in the motor industry back in the 1970’s, working as a fleet salesman for a Ford dealership in North London.

Having built up a successful fleet department for the dealership, supplying new cars and commercial vehicles to companies such as Hoover, Nestlé and IBM, Ian saw an opportunity in the market for an independent multi-franchised supplier, and as a result, one of the first new car discount centres was launched in the UK.

After several successful years of supplying vehicles to the fleet and industrial market, he decided to expand Nationwide Cars to the retail sector. This would allow him to supply discounted new cars and commercial vehicles across the UK to both companies and private individuals alike.

With over 35 years of experience in the motor industry, operating as a multi-franchised new vehicle broker and with a turnover running into over £150 million pounds of vehicle sales, the success of Ian’s original concept has saved the buying public many millions of pounds on their new vehicle purchases.

Since the launch of our family business back in the 1970s we have adapted many lines of communication, from advertising in established motor magazines and some of the better-known prestigious broadsheets to embracing the power of the web today.

As a family business, Nationwide Cars continues to offer the same high level of customer service and savings as it did when the concept was first launch back in the 1970s. The company is now managed by Ian’s two sons Dominic and Luke, who run the company with the same ethos and efficiency as the previous 35 years.

On behalf of Ian and his team, we would like to wish all of our returning customers past and present many miles of safe and happy motoring.

  1. All is good, but it took 4 months to deliver the car, and quite a few emails to settle down all the stuff.

  2. Ordered a Car late December with a few factory options on it, was told by the salesman that estimated delivery would by Late March / Early April but hopefully a little earlier to get in before the increase in RFL. Nothing was to much trouble on the phone and at the time of ordering, deposit by Credit card. If i mailed always got a quick response back. Mid Feb was contacted to say car would be with dealer late Feb so looking to get the car to me early March. We agreed a delivery date. You do have to pay balance a few days before the car arrives – yes a little worried about paying for car in advance with bank transfer. Phone call from delivery person the night before just to confirm delivery and also in the morning to give a estimated delivery time – car arrived as per order :-). Was then followed by a call to check that the car arrived and was I happy with it, and told any questions please don’t hesitate to contact them. Would i use them again and recommend to friends – Yes

  3. Having been sceptical about ordering a car online, I’m delighted to say that Nationwide have been very easy and friendly to deal with. The process was substantially easier than using a dealership and the price offered was around £1k better than the best from CarWow.

  4. All round great experience. This is the second time we have used this company and would have no hesitation using again. Straight forward from start to car arriving on delivery day always there if need any questions answering and always polite and friendly on the phone. Process second to none would not hesitate to tell my friends about company if they looking for new car. Thank you once again for great service

  5. Yes, the prices are low, but you pay for that with you waiting time. I had waited for the delivery for 4 months, and I missed two trips I planned to go driving my new car. So, please be patient and allow at least +1 month to the date you promised.

  6. I contacted this company, I gave him very precise and clear details about the car we wanted and he came back to us fairly quickly with two quotes. After wasting much of my time and losing other opportunities from Main Dealers I was informed by Nationwide that they had quoted me on an ‘older model’ car and there systems had not been updated (blamed in IT)- clearly its easy to blame IT, but if as a business they fail to invest or have up do date data then they are providing inaccurate quotes and wasting, disappointing and simply leaving customers like me very angry. I have since done a deal with a main dealer and wished i had done this in the first place. I recommend that you take their quotes with a massive pinch of salt or better yet simply avoid them altogether. A complete waste of my time and effort – shame on you Nationwide.

  7. From start to finish, this was the best car buying experience I have ever had, they could not have been more helpful friendly, and professional in every aspect of my purchase. The prices are great, there is nothing to dislike about this company, they provide exactly what you want at an unbelievable price.
